Experience the transformative power of sound

FABB Collective

Sound Sessions

Experience a transformative sound bath guided by Lisa. Crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and chimes are used to promote deep relaxation, restoration, and inner balance. After a gentle centering practice, participants are led through a meditative soundscape, immersing themselves in the resonant tones of the instruments. The gentle vibrations enter the body and penetrate deeply to support physical and energetic release.

Session Length: 50-60 minutes

Benefits of Sound Bathing

Research suggests that the vibrations from a sound bath influence brainwave activity, shifting toward the delta and theta waves associated with deep rest and meditative states.

  • Promotes deep relaxation and stress reduction
  • Activates the "rest and repair"parasympathetic nervous system
  • Enhances mental clarity and emotional calm
  • Supports muscle relaxation, circulation, and energetic balance

Evidence: A 2025 systematic review found that Tibetan singing bowl interventions can reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms, improve well-being and quality of life, and increase heart rate variability (Lin, Yang & Wang, 2025).

Honouring Individual Nervous Systems

Most people experience sound baths as calming and restorative. Occasionally, sound may also bring moments of intensity or unease. It takes time to learn effective relaxation techniques. You are always welcome to adjust, take a break, or step out, exploration is optional and best approached gently, without forcing.

What to Expect

Prepare

  • Sessions are hosted at a home in the East end of Ottawa (Beacon Hill North). Address provided upon registration.
  • Arrive a few minutes early to settle in.
  • Mats, light blankets, small pillows, and eye masks provided. Bring anything else you may need to stay comfortable.
  • Wear unrestrictive clothing; avoid zippers, thick sweaters, or button-up tops, as they can reduce the ability to feel vibration.

Participate

  • After arriving in the space, you'll be invited to turn your attention inward, noticing sounds, sensations, and thoughts as they arise.
  • We begin with gentle breathwork and a body scan to support relaxation.
  • Once settled, the soundscape and accompanying vibrations unfold.
  • You're encouraged to rest, adjust as needed, and take your time transitioning back when the session concludes.

Enjoy the lingering sense of calm, clarity, and lightness.

About Lisa

With over ten years of experience as a teacher, I bring warmth, curiosity, and care into all that I do. My journey into sound work and Reiki began through recovery from chronic pain following multiple concussions. Throughout this process, I learned the importance of supporting my nervous system and understanding the root cause of my illness. Alternative modalities including meditation, breathwork, yoga, and sound practices, became the tools that brought me back to wellness. Along the way, I discovered that these practices also support deep rest, self-awareness, and reconnection of mind, body, and soul.

Feeling called to explore these modalities in depth, my husband and I embarked on a six-month sabbatical across Asia, learning from meditation, breathwork, energy, and yoga teachers in Thailand, Japan, and India. A life-changing experience in the Himalayan mountains inspired me to dedicate myself to guiding others seeking balance, wholeness, and presence.

I am a deeply feeling and intuitive person, and I experience this sensitivity as a gift; it helps me create calm, welcoming spaces where people can slow down, rest, and reconnect with themselves. Beneath life's noise, our true nature is fearless, compassionate, and infinitely loving.
